You see the problems I have now that we are a snobby middle class pub.
They were really nice people who encouraged all of us to have a look in the limo. Now the kids all think they will get a limo hired for their 18th birthdays - dream on kids, not until I can get away with charging £3 a pint. Still, the nice driver gave me lots of business cards, might be handy when we start doing snobby middle class weddings.

Nice bit of business I'd say Dave. What did they drink?
I wonder what the turning circle of that thing is? Let alone the fuel consumption.
Tandleman, you would have to find the fly in the ointment wouldn't you? I've just checked the till, they drank wine and lager - nice wine and lager I should add.
Velky Al, I suspect the turning circle is similar to the coaches that use our car park as a turning point. The driver was more concerned about ground clearance, which was fine in the Hummer but he thought the regular stretch limos might be a problem over the hump backed bridges.
I suspect the fuel consumption is going to be mad. In this day and age something we all need to think about of course, but surely everybody deserves a treat once in a while, even Plebeians?
Only wondered that's all. No criticism implied.
Tandleman, I didn't read it as a criticism.
I would still have preferred to have answered that they drunk real ale, gallons of it, but you can't win them all.
Actually, most of their spends was on food. They had champagne to go back to in the limo, which they very kindly offered a little to me. I declined as I prefer beer. If I have grape I prefer red, not fizzy white.
Business is business. It's great to have ideals but at the end of the day it's about putting bread on the table. You can put up with a decent amount for well paying customers whatever their 'social standing' (can't believe I just wrote that!)
Nobody with any class would go to a party in a "stretch hummer". Some people come by money, but it doesn't make them middle class! I doubt this 18 year old is going up to Merton next year...
